Sick Bacchus by Whiteparasite Sick Bacchus by Whiteparasite
"Sick Bacchus" from Caravaggio was always one of my favourite paintings...
Caravaggio's painting: [link]

I decided to make my version of it, as a colour exercise and light.
Full view recommended, since the table has some interesting details on it :p

Photoshop :)

Sick Bacchus by ~Whiteparasite. An interesting interpretation of Caravaggio's work; the details are finely painted and the mood is very dark and macabre. ( Suggested by CarinaReis and Featured by alicexz )

Beautiful work! Love the detail in the skull and portrait, especially the glow within the head.

Love the concept behind this painting. The cockroaches are a nice touch as well. :)

Caravaggios one doesnt look that sick. This one for the contrary looks physically and psycologically deranged.

'This one for the contrary looks physically and psycologically deranged'. That is why I love it!!
~Whiteparasite FYI; Your work has influenced one of my projects which will be shown locally (Malta) at an Arts Museum.
